Default Mounting Rack to Freedom Top

I know that jeep says it can't or shouldn't be done, but has anyone mounted a thule or yakima rack to the freedom top either via the raingutters or by adding permanantly mounted roof rails designed for truck caro tops. I want to use my cargo carrier!

Check the show and tell section. I saw a Thule mounted
on the rain gutters of a Rescue Green JK.

Here ya go>https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ighlight=thule

Just ordered the 18" Thule 691 Extention, will look a lot better longer
Photochopped to see how it would longer, much better ,...word of advice, definitely put the wind jammer on the front, the noise sucks without it.

I added the traks to my Freedom top yesterday.

Will be using it to carry Kayaks.

I didn't get to put Yaks on yesterday - went out into Osceola Natl forest instead -

Will have yaks on rack this week - will update then

for what is worth,, my TJ had a hard top and I instaled roof rails from surco on the outer edges of the top and it worked great , but thin is with the jk's i dont like that gutter idea ,,it wont hold much and if you install rails on the biger half of the top you might get presure making it separate from the front portion so its out of the question I guess, so if I were you ,,Iwould do it the right ways and get a real rack later. preety soon we will see the kargo master congo cage im sure. aswell as others
