Default Wildboar Roof Rack

Hello everyone,
I have been looking into purchasing a Wildboar roof rack for my 2008 Rubicon four door. I have been doing a lot of research, but before I make a purchase I was hoping that yall could help me out with a couple questions:

1. For those of you that own one for a 4dr, how do you like it?
2. How well does the rotating basket work?
3. Where is the best place to purchase one? These things are freakin expensive!
4. Does anyone out there transport surfboards on it?
5. Pictures would be awesome!

Thanks for all of your help!

I like mine. I think you can only get it from Wildboar or a distributor.

The basket works great. I had to drill and tap the basket to keep it together because it kept sliding apart every time I lifted it. Wildboar said they were fixing this issue. I also made a strap to hook to the basket when I lifted it up so it was easier to just pull it back down.

The only thing I've carried on it so far is lumber, tires, and such. would not see a problem with carting some boards up there.

It's also a three (four would be ideal) person job installing it.

I just ordered mine as well. I have a 2dr. Do you have any pics on where to tap the basket to keep it together? Or is this just with the 4 dr's?

Jeeps @ the dealer. (won't start) but I can take one when I get it back.

Drivers side middle of the basket. I do not know if it hapens with the 2 door, but I would assume NOT. The two door flips back right?

eDiveBuddy Sorry your jeep won't start. When you have a chance a picture of the tap would be great.

JKRazed where are your pics?

Does anyone know if lights can be mounted to the Wildboar frame in the front?

I want a rack system and I like this one as much as the kongo cage, but a question I'd ask is how is the wind noise?

I needed a quick solution to for a work problem(ladder) so installed Thule foot & utility bars. They work great but I remove bars when not in use since the bars whistle at speeds over 45mph.

They told me that the rack flips back for the two door as well.
