hi all,

im getting my airaid cai and tbs soon.. hopefully within the week, and i was just wondering if anyone knows if it really does anything, i know it swirls the air around, anything other than that???? any input... dyno number would be cool..

 

Well, I can tell you I have one as well with the Air Raid CAI, also have the Hypertech Programmer. After I purchased the throttle body, I saw posts on here that say it is useless for fuel injected vehicles or something along those lines. Since I am a newby and not knowledgable in that area, I cant say.
Do I notice a difference, cant tell you that either becaus ethe CAI and Hypertech mods completely woke up the engine. Youll be happy with the CAI, good choice.
I installed everything at once, thus no basis to make a claim either way on the tbs. Ill let others speak on that.

 

did you get more miles per gallon with the programer and cold air intake

 

I had mine in for a week but took it out. There is an annoying whistle sound when the unit is working , I found the performance benefit not to be enough to justify the noise coming from not only the motor but from my wife too.

 

It'll make a great paperweight.

 

Hmmm interesting, so basiclly useless then??? anyone got anything good to say

 

Maybe look at getting new gears if you want better performance and mpg's. then get a programmer.

i was just looking for some positive input on the tbs but because its very hard to feel any gain at all from it, people dont care much about it... i guess
