Default Lift kit questions?????

If i go a 4 inch kit with 37 inch tires do i need driveline mods, new drivelines? or not? What about axle gearing? I cant decide if i want to just go with a 3 inch and 35s or the 4 inch and 37s

if you have a four door you won't need to modify your drivelines even though I am going to any way. according to the manufacturers the two door JK needs driveline mods. with any lift over 3". I have the Teraflex 4" system on my unlimited with 37" tires and 4:10 gears and it does really well for power eventually I am planning on regearing but it is not as big of an issue as I thought it was going to be.

Hey Bonedigger, do you have any issues with your stock driveshafts contacting the crossmember? I've been wanting to do a 4" superlift and 37" tires, but i was told that the d/s will hit the crossmember. It looks like it would it the exhaust before the crossmember to me but either way, any clearance issues at flex? and did you have to trim your fenders at all? Thanks for the input

no I have no issues with the drive shafts hitting the crossmember at all and I have had it flexing pretty good at times. But I am still going to replace my drivelines in time the front cv-jooint is on a pretty good angle. and I didn't have to trim any thing other than for the air dam. I have adj, control arms with my lift and they center the tire and the rear tire is totally clear of the body seam in the rear fender well
