Default Rough Country 2.5" Suspension Lift - Opinions?

Any opinions and/or experience with this kit? It seems to be one of the few that actually has two different sized spacers to level out the rake. Not to mention it's being offered at a good price these days:

Comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is the basic stance you will end up with. I have the 2.5 front and 2.0 rear spacers. I assume the same package you are looking at. Installed it superbowl sunday - about 2.5k miles ago.

My 12yo son and I knocked it out in roughly 3 or 4 hours. 2 trips to auto zone though. Defnitely use spring compressors. Way too hard to flex things enough to remove the springs.

I like the retained shocks and springs - definitely rides and handles as it did pre install. I did feel the need to also install full traction adjustable track bars, front and rear. If not, your axles will be off and you will notice some bump steer. That was expensive but they can grow as I maybe go to a 3-4 inches later.

I have a BDS rear track relo bracket if interested. I bought it then decided to go new track bars. Look it up in the for sale listings if interested.

I'd rate it a 6-7 out of 10 difficulty. ps. that blue thing you see is actually pool hose that I cut to fit over the extender. Looks much better than the bare extender - imo of course.

I installed mine yesterday, 3.5 hours. Floor jack, 2 lge jack stands, my springs came out rather easily. Make sure you disconnect the brakeline keeper or you may damage your lines. The hardest part for me was the rear top nut that holds the spacer in place. You can handle it.

Great point on the jack stands. Looking back, I did not have tall enough ones to allow the drop needed. It was either take the rotors off or use spring compressors. They were/are free at Auto Zone, so I'd grab some just in case.

Yeah, large stands are very nice. I have only had them for about 6 months and used them 7 or 8 times. Well worth the $$.

The kit installs easily. The shoulder on bolts for the rear spacer were too long so I had to substitute new bolts.
Just be aware that you will still need front discos. No bumpstop extensions are included. My axles are each offset about 1/2 inch so I ordered adjustable track bars. So when you total it all up, a more complete kit might be better..........

I have the Rough Country lift kit, and I'm very very satisfied!

I will sell it 50$ in December, because I will buy a 4" lift kit.

you will need to either get some disco links or even just some longer ones. i managed to wrap mine around the drag link one day. the hardest part for me was getting the back spacer bolt to go in and then the spring after that. so definatley get the compressor. other than that it was great to have on.
