FT 3" or Frankenlift?
Well, I am debating whether or not to just purchase the FT 3" Ultimate kit or build my own with parts from other manufacturers that make quality parts. For instance, OME makes excellent coils and shocks, Currie makes excellent control arms and both Terraflex and Full Traction make excellent adjustable track bars. I'm not so concerned about bump stops and brake line exensions - I can get those from anyone. But is it preferable to get the 4 primary components (shocks, coils, control arms and track bars) from a single company in a kit, or build it from several different companies. I've priced them out and they are about the same price with David at Northridge (+/- $100). What do you think?
Option A
Full Traction 3" Ultimate Kit with M-Force Gas Shocks

Option B
OME 2" HD Suspension System

Full Traction Front & Rear Adjustable Control Arms

Currie Control Arms (Front & Rear, Upper & Lower)

that's a tough one. the currie arms are really nice and of all the arms i have seen, they pretty much offer the best flex. if their is a drawback to them, it would be that they do not have a softer bushing at the frame end and it will allow for more road noise. that being said, i've never seen this to be an issue and personally wouldn't let it change your mind about them but i do feel i should point it out as it does matter to some.
regarding the FT kit, what is nice about going that route is that it comes absolutely complete (unlike option B where you will still need more components like brake line drop brackets, longer sway bar links, bumpstop extensions, etc.) but you will still need to get shocks. while the older kits used to come with poly bushings at the frame end, i'm pretty sure you can now get them with assembly joints similar to the currie johnny joints. i've run the FT kit and loved it.
eitherway, i think you have a good understanding of what you will need and i really don't think you could go wrong with either. the only real benefit to going with option A is that you don't really have to think about anything else as everything you need comes with it and you will be happy with it.

It really is up to you. I would go with whatever the best price is. All of the companies you mentioned make great quality parts. Mixing and matching is not that big of deal if the parts are adjustable to fit the lift properly. In the end, you will get the same outcome. I say go with the best price, which usually means one complete kit.
