Default Upgrading fender flares?

So I took my JK wheeling on some heavily wooded trails. Now I need to replace one fender flare, and paint (or at least touch up) the other 3. But then I'd just be back to the same fragile stock flares I started with.

I've got a Sahara, so they flares are painted the body color (red in my case).

Anyone have a recommendation for more durable fender flares? Preferably ones that look good on a JK...

Thanks in adbance.

xenon fender flares are my fav. they're tube fenders and give u alot more tire clearance as well......another good one is bushwacker fenders...the only thing w/ those are they're very wide so they can tend to drown out the look of a wide tire/wheel combo.....but IMO the xenon tube fenders arethe most durable and look the best....you can find them at pretty much any 4wheel online store...hope that helps you out a bit....go to the show and tell forum section and search xenon or bushwacker and there should be plenty of pics w/ them on jk's

I see you have also a 2dr Red Rock
I love mine, but I'm avoiding most trails for now for the fact of painted flares, but love the openness of a place near me of a off road beach that is HUGE,but most place have only trails good luck on the fenders

x2 on the Xenons. mine also came with painted Sahara flares.. dont have them mounted anymore. And personally I really like the way it looks with the Xenons.

I was showing off my JK's approach angles and slid down off a tree sideways, rubbed the drivers side fron Xenon flare bad, I figured it would have been damaged, but nothing happened to it.

Put on some X or Rubicon flares. Though the tube flares and pocket flares are nice, they also tend to cause body damage if they hit an obsticle hard enough because they are not flexable, so the Jeep body absorbs the impact instead of the flares. The stock flares are more flexible and will bend before damaging the body, unlike the tube fenders. With the X or Rubi flares, they are not painted, so scratches don't look as bad.

River Raider's tube fenders.

Steel and tied into the sub frame. Cost is about twice that of plastic fenders though. Got mine on order.

Get Bushwackers! Yes, they stick out more and will probably rub in certain situations but they look good and they're practically bulletproof.

Xenons if you want more clearance. If you buy them from 4wd they offer a lifetime replacment warranty for a few extra bucks. They will replace them no matter how bad you destroy them!

Here's a pic of my Rubicon with the Xenons unpainted.

x2, and they are only like $50 a piece. I know there were pictures of WOL's fenders and he hit a rock leaving an intendtaion, and as soon as they warmed in the sunshine it popped itself out. Even better it never damaged the sheet metal.
