do you have the can holders already? if not, i have two that are in new condition that i am willing to sell. in any case, if you have basic welding skills, you can buy the metal needed to make new brackets to fit the new rack--shouldn't be a problem.

Looking at the set up it looks like the cans would mount to the side of the rack, so this would not work since the rack fits on the roof, unless you layed the cans flat on their side, but then they are more likely to leak Wouldn't just setting the cans on top of the rack, and strapping them in securely work?

I don't think the garvin mounts will work because in the picture the garvin clamps to the bar at the middle of the mount. I don't think it will work unless you can move the clamps down, otherwise they will be like 6" above the edge of the basket. Also those have support under the can, and with a roof rack you would not need this. I know that Gobi Racks has a set up like what you are looking for.

oh, i see what you are doing; yes, the garvins will do what you want, and it looks like no fabrication will be necessary. you will only need to remove the two bars that mount to the garvin tire rack (they are secured with two bolts each) then bolt the bottom of the can holder to the bushman rack. it will be easier than i thought. i will pm you photos of the can holders.....
