how would 20's look

Hey guys im getting a 4 in suspension lift and really dont have the money for tires but my buddy has some 35.s that are about 80% left that i can get for free only problem is there 20 in rim size should i buy rims or tires?? Im a trail hitter also

I say to each his own, but I think 20's are a bit much for a Jeep. Is it primarily a street ride or will you be hitting the trails?

A) Get your buddy's tires and spend money to purchase 20" rims

vs.

B) Spend the same money and buy tires to mount on your factory rims...

I wouldn't run 35s. At least 37s. But I hope you have a second set of wheels or you really like rock rash. 40s and you should be good to go.

so you think that if i get 37s and run stock rims ill be better off? cause i guess im willing to wait a couple more weeks. Plus theres not going to be any rubbing on the 37s?

Price up 20s and see if you can afford those. Keep in mind what 37s and 40s cost for a 20" wheel. Also your gonna have to re-gear etc etc etc.

Depending on which lift you are getting, you might have a little rubbing at full flex. If you stick with the stock rims, you WILL need wheel spacers or your tires will rub.

personally, 20" rims to me only function well if you've got twice as much tire protecting it....so 40" or more for me to justify 20's....but to each their own...all I know is I beat the CRAP out of only 15" rims with 33's
