Default 2.5 Teraflex BB impressions

Installed in my friend's driveway yesterday taking advantage of beautiful weather here in Sacramento.

I know alot have written about this kit so I'm just gonna hit the highs and lows for more input to those considering the kit. BTW, I have the kit with replacement shocks.

It took me 3.5 hours from tires on/ jacked up/ lift installed and tires back on the ground including an episode of trying to locate a 2 year old and having same child tossing my sockets around the driveway as his toys(my toys!)

It was pretty straight forward and I'd say the hardest part was getting the front springs back in after spacers installed. I disconnected the shocks and swaybars only. Getting the front shocks off was not so easy either. The top nut is not as accessible as the TJ. I did the back first and was a little tired by the time I got the front as well. I was debating whether or not I had too much beer or not enough!?

Everything seemed to fit well from Teraflex and was complete. For the price it is excellent IMO.

My steering wheel even managed to stay straight and the ride is only slightly harsher but not bad. I'm looking at buying some 35s now and will add a 1 inch body lift if necessary.

Did you keep the OEM rubber spacers? Just wondering why the slightly harsher ride...did the JK level out any, or was yours level pretty much before?

Hey, say hi to my daughter, she lives in Sacramento...

My Sahara seemed pretty level before lift and remained the same. I kept the stock rubber isolaters as described in the directions. I would say the ride is just the slightest bit firmer, and I don't think that it is necessarily bad but just different.

Not sure if people are doing this, but it worked for me. I think that Teraflex has delivered this kit in two different forms. If your kit has the bump stop extension that bolts to the axle (FT style), put the new bump stop extension inside the spring. Mount the spring, then bolt the extension in place.

I notice slightly more body lean on on/off ramps, but still pretty well mannered overall. And no ESP activation so far after 100 plus miles.
