in my less than profesional analysis:
hypertech: less HP/gain more functionality, less cost, +MPG gain
adjustable: tire size, cooling temp, gear ratio, tuning (stock, reg, prem)
Unichip: more HP/gain no aditional functionality, more cost, -drop in MPG
adjustable: NA

Same here. I didn't go into the purchase with the expectation of big gains and consequently I was pleased. The primary reason for my purchase was the speedometer/gear ratio calibration. However, I was pleased by the improvement in throttle response.
From what I have read about the tuning, and my own personal tuning experience, I think you would by far be better off saving the $400 and putting it towards a gear swap. The difference would be MUCH more noticeable in the performance department. You aren't gonna feel a 10HP change on 35's, even if it was a true RWHP measurement which it isn't.
