Default 1350 Vs 1310, brand vs brand

Alright as many of you with a lift and auto's I'm in need of a new front driveshaft. But I'm alittle confused as to what I need The JE reel is cheaper than the Tom woods, what's the difference and which is better? Also how do I decide wether I need a 1310 or 1350? Never touched a driveshaft before so any help is appreciated.

1350's have much bigger u-joints and are therefore stronger. 1310's are a good option to go with especially up front as they will clear an auto tranny but you should know that the yokes are actually not as strong as the factory flanges.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Do you use alot of skinny pedal wheel?

I would rather break a u-joint than a axle shaft.

Two things:

1. If you go for the 1350 up front make sure you check for clearance with your tranny skid plate at full flex. You may have to do some cutting.

2. I can't talk about the brands you mentioned since I have no experience with them, but if you have done your research on this forum you will find nothing but positive feedback about Woods, JE Reel, ect. Now, I can tell where not to go...from my very bad experience I don't recommend the driveshaft superstore. Instead of sending me a h-yoke for my front driveshaft they sent me flanges for both sides where one of the flanges didn't fit with the transfer case. I can post pics if anyone is interested. I gave them a chance and they sent me a h-yoke with out a union So I left it at that and I had to purchase a union.

Go big, go for the 1350

Good luck!

Are you saying that the 1350's don't clear the auto transmission???
