Default New Here ... bulding a 4dr Rubicon

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I've had a few TJ's before, and a brief stint with an H1 (which I traded for cash back on this Rubicon 4dr).

I'm want to build a monster! Here is what I've ordered so far:

- Teraflex 4" with all the goodies and 5 37" tires.

I'm also about to pull the trigger on the Teraflex front and rear bumpers and that big Warn Powerplant winch.

Anything else I may need? Will the rubicons automated "swaybar" system work with a lifted jeep?

Thanks,
Seth

Do the Axles gears make it stronger, or do they just make it drivable again?

How undrivable is it with the big tires and no gears? Is it an on-road issue or is it a crawl issue?

I will be regearing to 4.88 as soon as I can get some.
I was talking to the guys at my offroad shop and they suggested maybe 4.88's instead of 5.13's (I would think there is more meat on a 4.88).

I have an auto-rubicon also. Whats the stock ratio?

Thanks,
Seth

I talked to teraflex about the the bumper and they saif that the warn powerplant won't fit in the available right now. But they started on one to fit this winch and larger ones as they come out.

I just found that out this morning. I'm going with the non-power-plant version that will fit the bumpers they have in stock. I'm going to probably put a stand-alone air system in. I had two thoughts here. The non-powerplant version is lighter and shorter (on the front bumper) so it will be better shielded from the elements because it's lower and my jeep will be less nose heavy. The on-board air system gives me a tank of air incase I need more volume, or the battery/and/or jeep dies for whatever reason.

I ordered some 4.88's. I'm really excited! Can't wait to get this rig rolling.

If anyone knows of someone that actually has them in stock, do tell.
My shop called Superior and ordered them directly and was told a week and half at most. I hope that is infact the case!
