I can't show you pics, and I cant tell you how it runs. But I will bet you a dime for a doughnut that you will
hate the way 35's perform.

There are many threads on 35's and high gears. All of them say that the auto w/ anything less than 4.10's is
undesireable. Not so much of a power issue as it is an issue of your tranny not knowing when to shift.

If you can deal with it until you can save your pennies (I'm in the same boat, 3.21 w/ a 6 sp) then get the 35's.

Everyone says at least 4.88's... better yet 5.13's - w/ an auto and 35's.

IMO, a 3" lift is a lil to tall for 33's.

That is a load of crap. I drive with 35's daily. and its not bad. I get up to highway speed easily without pushing the motor. I do have to push it to pass. but cruising at 65mph I run 2400rpm without my overdrive. In the city its not even noticeable. I have decided not to regear until I have the vehicle paid off. Yes there was SOME loss in power, but nothing to make it undesirable, or absolute dog to drive.

Yes, lower gears will help, AKA 4.10's, 4.88 or even 5.13's. I am still getting 16 to 17mpg with my setup. I do not have a CAI or exhaust. my mileage went from 320mi per tank (almost completely empty) to 295mi per tank with the same setup.

I also have 35's, 4" lift, manual, and have no problem running 70-75 on freeway...but 6th gear is virtually non-existent. Have put nearly 15k miles on this setup. I do have air filter and exhaust upgrades tho.
The big difference has been mileage, only seeing about 12-13/gallon...With that said, I will switch to 4.88 gears in the very near future.

I have a 4" lift with 35's. I am running the stock 3.73 gears with a 6 speed manual trans. I drive 80 miles round trip to work everyday. I get about 14 miles to the gallon. I use 6th gear for the majority of my trip even though it's a curvy road. I do not have any problems whatsoever. However, I will not lie to you and tell you that 4.88's wouldn't be better. That will be my next upgrade. But, that's more for off road performance than on road. I have absolutely no clearance issues, even at full flex. A 3" might rub a little at flex, but you can pick up a 1" body lift for $100 if needed in the future.

The only reason you know this is because you saw my 32's on what turned out to be almost a 4" lift.

Bone - I love the stance of your jk. I am in the same boat as you with the 3.73 and 6spd. Down here in Georgia
there are very few hills so I am guessing by your post the 35's should not be terrible.
How does your JK do offroad with power to the 35's

I'd have to disagree with 3" lift being too tall for 33's. I don't think it is.

My Jeep. 3" Fabtech and 33" Pro-Comp Xterrains. 3.73 gears and I'll be bumping up to 35's in the near future.

I can't complain about the off road power with 35's. I'm not doing any hard core rock crawling for fear of breaking axles in my daily driver. However, I've been on some pretty tough trails and through some pretty bad ass mud with no issues whatsoever. I run with a lot of CJ's that are hard core trail rigs and have no problem staying with them, even going further than them. I've been completely satisfied with my set up. I will say this, if you feel like you want to do any serious off roading, make sure to get a lift with front sway bar disconnects. It made all the difference for me.

I am in NW Arkansas where we have lots of hills. I still do not have any issues with 35's and 3.73's. I may have to downshift from 6th to 5th on big hills at highway speeds, but most vehicles do.

have you tried 35s yet on your auto 4door-my friend is having me do the lift for him Im his intsaller and consultant...I dont want him to be pissed its too slow but hes doing a 3 inch and a bodylift so he might have to for looks. says he would regear but I dont know for sure. IF YOU OR ANYONE runs 35s with stock gear and auto how is it? I run 4:10 rubi gears and 35s 6spd I love mine its perfect for me.
