Default My complete equipment list - What do you think?

Now that my 4-door Rubi hardtop is finally on the train (ordered it in October!!!), I'm finally ready to order all my parts. Your thoughts?

Gears - 4.88 from Superior Axle
Tires - 35x12.5 17 BFG Mud Terrain
Wheels - Stock! Anyone have any feedback on this?
Spacers - Spidertrax 1.5" all around
Lift - Full Traction Ultimate 3" with monotube shocks
Bumper - Shrockworks JK Jeep winch bumper
Winch - Warn Powerplant HP

I am *not* a do-it-yourself guy, so my plan was to order all this from 4 Wheel Parts in Laguna Hills, CA and have them install everything. A one-stop-shop would be well worth it to save hassle.

This is the first Jeep I'll have ever built, so I DEFINITELY welcome any and all feedback!!!!

I think that sounds pretty good. Are you getting the stubby bumper or waiting on a full width? I think the stock wheels will look great. If you change your mind then buy them later. It will only cost you 50 to 60 bucks to re mount them.

I like the stubby bumpers but my friends are giving me grief aobut it and so I think I am going to go with the AEV instead. I know, its my truck but I am pathetic and need thier aprovial

Before you order from them, give David @ Northridge a call. I bet you end up saving some money, and his track record with customer service is excellent. As far as the install, I am sure their are some quality shops in your area (ask some local guys for a shop).

As for the tires, I dont think he sales them, but you can order from discount tires online and they ship for free. I am able to get no sales tax on stuff where I live when I buy off the net or out of state, so that saves me alittle extra cash.

Looks like you'll end up with a great ride. I do suggest that you install at least the bumper and winch yourself, it's really easy. I wasn't ever a do it yourself guy until I got into wheeling about 5 years ago and now I'm pretty comfortable with everything except major engine work, it gives you a lot more confidence when you are on the trail and something breaks.

Definitely the stubby bumper, and no hoops. I don't like toting around any more heavy steel than I need to.

I will call David at Northridge, thanks for the recommendation.

I'm not sure that it's still going on, but I heard that Offroad Evolution was doing gears for a grand out the door.

I wonder if Jeeps-R-Us, on Laguna Canyon Road, does any of this kind of work.

Dave @ Northridge is very honest and knowledgeable, also has connection with Full Traction as well.

I would say, get your stuff from David at Northridge, good service, no tax. Put your bumper on yourself or with Eddies help. He would probably like to do a write up on it.(Dont want to speak for Eddie but I am just guessing)

I am sure the latest consensus is the 5.13 gears for 35's or 37's and Mel at offroad Evolution in Fullerton has a special both axles for a grande. Again Eddie just put those on with his 35's and loves it. Will know even better when he gets back from Moab this weekend. Will have the test of trail and freeway travel.

Get your tires from Tucker tire on Forbes road. You can try to call but it just rings off the hook because they are helping the ones in the lobby. Great deal and great guys to deal with. No BS just $?? out the door, "pull it around back"
By the time you mess with wheel spacers $50 a piece you could get some decent wheels for 100 -150 bucks each. You decide on that one, I went with the wheels and sold my stock rubi tires/wheels for $1000. Good deal for both.

All you got left is to have someone put on the lift. You could have 4wheel part put that on, but there may be others in the area too.

I bet you just cut your cost in half not doing the one stop shop, but get a price from them on the whole shabang!

I will drill your mirrors for you!
