Default Liquid tint for soft top windows????

A buddy of mine bought some kind of tint liquid to tint the inside of his CJ soft top windows. The windows looked good. Anyone know of such liquid ? My buddy moved a few years ago, haven't been able to reach him.

Liquid tint? We call that mud in these parts! The only experience I've had with liquid tent was horrible...I'll never try it again.

+1. Only liquid I've ever seen was 'spray on' tint and it was horrible. It 'ran' no matter how careful you were and it made the interior smell HORRIBLE for about 2 weeks. My buddy used it in his Toy. When he decided that it just looked too bad (and hardly tinted at all > even after multi coats), the only way to get it out was harsh smelly chems. That was another 2 weeks of smell!

Just wait till BesTop comes out with the zip in replacements if you were talking about that spray in junk. But if you do find something that works, post it up!!

I bought a used TJ several years back that had cling-on window film on the softtop windows. I eventually peeled it off because it had turned purple. Over time, the tint color had bled into the softtop windows, so I ended up buying a new softtop.

However, I will say that the windows looked very good when I first got it, and I never had a problem the film peeling off. There were a few small bubbles, and imperfections, as you can imagine, trying to get plastic to stick to plastic perfectly, but it looked great from only a few feet away.

I have no idea what product that was, but I just found this link:

Good luck!
