Default Rear Rubicon 44 r&p same as non-Rubicon 44 r&p?

Wanted to know if the ring and pinion of the Rubicon 44 is the same as the ring and pinion of the non-Rubicon 44.

I know the spline count is higher, 32 vs 30, on the Rubicon. But is that it?

Meaning, can I buy 4.10s off a Rubicon rear and install in the rear of my Dana 44?

I believe that your suspisions are correct that they are the same ring and pinion as long as the non-Rubi is also the 4:10 gear.

I see. Then you will need the Rubi carrier assembly. They are different.

Of course silly. I'm getting a Mopar Dana 44 Rubicon assembly. Want to build the rear axle a little different than going the stock Rubicon way.

If I were to get an ARB for the rear, will be the 4.10 r&p off the Rubicon 44 work in the non-Rubicon axle housing?

Hypothetically speaking, I want to get a Mopar Dana 44 Rubicon front axle and just bolt it up. Run the wiring and use the factory e-locker. Run it stock.

For the rear, I want to use my existing Dana 44 X model axle and swap in the 4.10 r&p and get the Superior Axle & Gear Super Dana 44 - 35 Spline Rear Axle Kit with ARB Air Locker.

Does that clarify my question and setup?

You will want the ARB for the NON Rubi rear...unless you are planning to use Rubi Axles.....which you have indicated you will NOT be doing. So, yes, the ARB for the NON Rubi rear will work fine with the Rubi 4.10 gears. Is that what you were looking for? You see, the carriers are not only different because of the Rubi axle spline count. The Rubi 4.10 carrier is different than the carrier in yours because of the gear ratio as well. The 4.10 carrier has the ring gear flange in a different position than that of the 3.21. Although the Rubi and non Rubi 4.10 carriers share the same ring gear flange offset, the Rubi carrier has the 32 spline count while the non Rubi has the 30 spline count.

So since I'm NOT using the Rubicon carrier NOR the Rubicon axle shafts, this could work. Using ONLY the 4.10 ring and pinion from the Rubicon and installing an ARB with 35 spline shafts that's made for a 4.10 r&p ratio.
