Default CAI (Cold Air Intake) = MWI (muddy water intake)

Wishing i did not throw out my old intake - sucking mud up in the motor defeats any HP gains on the trail.

anyone have a box, or write up on enclosing a CAI to prevent mud/water from splashing up into all the openings and getting sucked into the throttle body?

An enclosed CAI would pretty much equal a stock air box.

got desperate for HP waiting on my gears to arrive

murphy's law - the stock intake is the only part i did not save after mods.

guess i'll use the liquid spray foam insulation to try and plug holes and reduce mud intake.

You might try cruisin the freebie section. I see them things sometimes there. You might can score one on just what the shipping cost is.

Nope. That ain't necessary. You gotta find out somehow. CAIs ain't for everybody.....especially if you're gonna see a lot of water.

Maybe a ram-air snorkel setup is the way for you to go if you're going to be doing a lot of water crossings. Just my 2 cents.

Hope you get something that works for ya.

saw one the other day in freebies section, I believe. Mixed in with some other stuff the guy had....Take a few minutes and row thru the listings slow, you'll probably run across one, like RedneckJeep said......
