Default New KM2's vibration around 45mph

I just got BFG KM2's 35x12.50x17 put on my jk 2dr.
They had 50psi in them and I have dropped it to 32psi.
I have not done the chalk test yet but have a question.

My KM (rubi tires) rode smooth at all speeds. The new KM2's
start out smooth then I get a vibration around 45mph up to about 60mph.

If they were not balanced correctly wouldn't I get a vibration at all speeds.
Anybody have any suggestions?

I just went outside and looked at them. More weights than I am used to. Also, I don't think the shop I used install and balance many large tires.

I would get them rebalanced at an off road shop or where they deal with bigger tires (tractor trailers).

Seeing how all 5 tires have a lot of weights I would think that would rule out bad tires. I know it is possible but not probable that I would get 5 bad BFG tires. I've run several sets of various BFGs with no major problems. It sort of points to the tech I think. I will go see them tomorrow and see what they can do.

Yep I got it too, around 50-55 mph. I tryed playing with tire pressures and also had the tire balance rechecked. Everything checked out good... Guess we just have to live with it.

By the way I am running 37's with 30lbs in the front tires and 28lbs in the back......

I have the 315/75/R16 KM2's (35") and run 30PSI front & rear for daily driving. I don't have any vibes now, but they DID have to be re-balanced after about 3,000 miles.

Check into Discount Tire if there's no improvement after another balance. They can balance & mark the rim THEN mount the tire combining the heavy side of the tire with the light side of the rim.
The techs recommended doing this if problems persisted. (It costs a little more $$)

No discount tire near me. Would have to drive several hours to get there.

I also had the same vibrations, however mine were near 55mph. After a few trips to the tire shop I still had slight vibrations. I had an appointment at the dealer later in the week for normal maintenance, but when I went to pick it up, I noticed on the payment slip that they had also rebalanced/rotated my tires. I didn't expect much from the dealer considering my JK isn't stock, but when I took it up to speed I was amazed to find that the vibrations were gone! Guess I can't complain about my dealer anymore...but balancing did solve my problem.

Other tire shops may the balance the rim & tire seperately, allthough I doubt 4 wheel shops would...

You probably just need a balance (like I did) after the tires broke-in.

The KM2's work great for me both on and off road!

I have 37" KM2s with Walker Evans beadlocks, I don't get any vibes at all, and I only have an average of 2 oz. of weight on each wheel. I have only about 600 miles on these, but why should they change if the tire wears evenly?
