Default Home Made Shackle and Clevis Mount

Well I started to work on a shackle and clevis mount. These are kinda temporary until I make my full bumper but I REALLY needed some tow points So here ya Go!

I cut some plate and Welded some cutout 1" Plate mounts to it. Afterwords I sprayed it with Bed liner.

Bought some used D-Ring Shackles that were blue. Well I actually like the blue look. So they look rough now but I am going to redo them in blue again.

They look awesome!!!! I actually posted about two weeks ago asking if anyone had done this yet.....unfortunately I can't weld

A couple of questions....

1. How much did the materials cost you (minus the D rings)???
2. What size bolts did you secure them with?
3. How much to make me a set for my Pure Jeep Rear bumper?

SONIC : Thanks! No Not yet. I just barely finished mounting them right before I posted. LOL

dlud51 : Thanks! (? #1) The Drings were $30 for 5 of them, the thin plate was $3 to have a local place cut them to size. The 1" Plate was scrap i got for free at a Metal place. (? #2) I still have the stock bolts right now. They still have plenty of thread so im not worried about them yet. (? #3) LOL Well Unless I come up with a more efficient way of making them I prolly wont make anymore. But If I do you'll hear about it.

mattgic : Thank You! Went through the extra effort of rounding the edges and smoothing some of the welds with bondo and the such.

Tebo : I want to get other Blue accents too I think will look great. SHock Boots or shock and paint job maybe.

lijeepguy : Thanks!

d8piccini : Yeah I like the Blue too! I didnt think i would but when i put them on they looked cool.

Strong Bad : Thank you!

2drREDROCK : Thanks!

rmc4x4 :

jerseyjk08 : Glad you like
