4" lift on 4-door unlimited..Rockstars
Hi,
I need help deciding on what size tire/rims to go with on my new jeep. It is a 07 unlimited 2-wheel drive automatic 4-door with the factory half doors. I will be doing no off roading so looks are my only concern. Please no flames...1- which 4" lift should i go with? Pro comp or rough country? They are both the same price. Around $500. Is one better than the other? I like the rough county as the shocks are silver and it matches the car better but either way not a big deal. 2- Do I go with 18" or 20" rims? Originally I was going to go with the 18" rockstars and 35" mud grapplers but after seeing all the pictures of 37" jeeps they look really good. Is there any negative to the 37" tires? Would it look funny with the 18" rockstars and 37" tires? Would the wheels look too small? If I go wih the 37" should I go with the 20"s??? Last thing, I really like the look of when the tires flare out and look wide . I saw the 37" come in 12.5 and 13.5? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

, kinda threw me there but yeah guess it would work and the $500 kits don't have control arms which if they did would be useless on the front of a 2wd JK
.If your out for just looks 37's on 18s would look good, not a big fan personally of the 20s although with 40" and 42" tires the 20's didn't look as bad as I imagined. I think some of the Camp Crocker rigs have some huge rims like that with 40" tires but I could be mistaken. I also like the look of 13.50s just for the aggressive stance they give our JKs.
I don't really care for big wheels, but the rockstar 20's on nitto dune grapplers would look cool. Why wouldn't control arms work on a 2 wheel drive jeep? I thought that let you manipulate the tires? I have thought about the rough country lift, but I think it might look wrong with 33's.
12.50's stick out pretty good. You gotta have proper backspacing or they will rub.
