Default Aftermarket tail light guards installed!

I put the Garage Pro tail light guards on the Jeep today. I think it looks tougher than the MOPAR ones at half the price. They sit off the tail light for better protection. They were a bitch to put on because the screws were situated right behind the bars and I had to angle the screwdriver into it. Here are some bad rainy camera pictures...

Bought at JC Whitney.com for $69 ordered and to my door in 5 days. It is $99 for stainless steel. They are in the Jeep section in the New Products for Jeep section page 3.

Just checked on these a JCW and they're out of stock with a suspected ship date of 6/20 for the style he has. Bummer

Damn, that sucks! It's like hitting the lottery when you find a JK part in stock!! I guess I got lucky and called at the right time. The other style doesn't protect the sides at all.

Army...looks good...I've been pondering these exact same guards for a few weeks. JCW has them on backorder until July. How have they held up since your last post? Any issues?
You mention that they were a PIA to install... any sugesstions to give from your experience?

The only thing I have seen with some of those light guards is that you save your light but transfer the damage to the body it's mounted to. Replace a light ....or....body shop.

I don't know how it is mounted but JME. Looks nice.

They are holding up great! Most of my off roading is on narrow, tree-lined trails and so far, with the brush guard and taillight guards, nothing broken. They were a pain to install because the screws sit under the metal bars. You have to angle the screwdriver to get it in there. They are thick metal and quite heavy duty, better than the factory ones I saw on a dealer vehicle. Wait for them.
