Concerned about running 37s with the RC 4" lift + 1PA BL
Hm...So i really want to run 37's and I was hoping I'd be ok but i'm getting a little concerned I won't be able to clear 37's on my unlimited with a 4" rough country suspension lift and a 1" PA body lift... After reading a bunch of posts about body lifts I decided against a 2" body lift and ordered my 1" body lift the other day off of northridge and will hopefully be installing it this weekend, I really don't have the money to get one of those other expensive 4" lifts so that's probably not an option unless there is a great deal on one somewhere...
I've seen a bunch of people on this site with other brand 4" lifts with 37's but apparently their 4" lifts are apparently higher than 4"...
I read the article on project-jk about the 4" RC lift installed on the 2 door and at the end of the article the author says it's a true 4" and doesn't think you would be able to run 37's with just the lift and says if you add a body lift then "maybe" you can run 37's...maybe
I would think that with the obvious extra weight of a 4 door the jeep would sag slightly more than the 2 door so you might be below the 4" mark, am I right to think that or would the 4 door kit be slightly different to accommodate the extra weight?
Anyone happen to have the 4" RC and 1" BL running 37's???
It seems like a bad idea but would it be possible to run 1 inch coil spacers on top of the 4" lift or would that extra inch cause a lot of extra problems.
thanks for the advice

There's also another company named "zone" that has a 4" lift... i never heard of them untill recently but they seem to be directly competing with RC as they have a bunch of the same kits at the same exact prices... anyone know anything about theM?
I bought my lift from Northridge too...I'd call David back and ask what he thinks about running teraflex spacers on top of your RC coils instead of a bodylift. It was my understanding that the only reason you would want a body lift is to avoid driveshaft, pinion and caster angle problems. I believe teraflex makes a range of spacers between 1-2.5 inches. I'm sure other companies have similar spacers too. I have a friend with an xj with 2 inch spacers on top of his like 4 or 5 inch springs and has no problems. Might be worth researching before you install the bodylift.
Spacers would make you have to change the front driveshaft, period. The lift itself will tear the boot of an automatic transmission.
There is a guy from WV that runs 37s with his 4" RC lift without much problem.
