tpms actually worked today
Ok,, I've been trying to figure out a way to trick the computer so I don't have to run the tire sensors in the new wheels/tires when I get them.. I changed my mind today.. I got a screw in one tire on Tuesday,, and fixed it while at work.. and today driving down the turnpike on the way to my Moms for Christmas,, about 75 mile trip light came on,, one ding, just as I went threw the tunnel (1.5 mile threw the blue mountain) and I pulled off to see if I could see anything. Well,, I had a hunk of metal in my right rear tire and it was leaking fast. If it wasn't for the light I would have has a real issue quickly.. also on this stretch of road there is almost no room to pull off.. only every 4-5 miles an emergency access gate.. which is what I pulled into.. It could have been a bad day with a flat.. tire went completely flat in about 2 minutes.. If I was still doing 75 when it did..
checking tire pressure is good but it sounds like he pulled a chuck of metal shit off the notorious PA turnpike. Also appears that he is endorsing the use of the tpms instead of just saying the hell with it
It gave me a warning that I was about to go flat.. has nothing to do with checking tires,, gave me a chance to safely get off the road before The tire came apart.. now I need new tires! 17K on my sra's and they are less than 1/2 tread and now 3 have plugs and the spare is holding with 4 plugs in the one hole.. big hole.. I was planning on a new set,, now I just need to shop faster..
I see you are familiar with the pike,, and the shocker too? gadzooks...
