Default Best place to measure for level stance.

I have been measuring from the rock rail to the ground, behind the front tire, and the rock rail to the ground in front of the rear tire. Is this the best way to measure for a level stance? By doing this, I get approx 3/4 inch higher in the rear. But if I just measure the wheel well down to the tire, it is pretty much the same all around.

I have put on a 3 inch coil lift, and just tweaking things up to my liking now.

thanks

That works. I typically measure from the frame rail just behind the front lower control arm mount and in front of the rear one. Others like to measure from the fender flare bottom edge to the top of the tire tread but I personally don't think this is a good indicator as to whether or not your sitting level. Whatever you do to level things out, just know that once you load up your Jeep, the rear will sag enough to be noticable. So, you may want to consider some rake to be a good thing.

Exactly my thoughts too. With my 3" lift I am right at 1/2" taller in the back than in the front, measured at the rock rails. That is in an unloaded Jeep. When you add cargo and or passengers in the back, it levels out.
