Default Should jeep build trucks

Do you think If Jeep Builds a Scrambler or A Hummer H3TA type truck it would sale? The Scrambler could be build on the J8 military jeep ,J8 specs found at www.allpar.com under news & rumors on the left side of page , look at upcoming models .Edmond specs for The hummer h3ta 4 door truck has a length of 212.7 inches ,that 40.3 inches longer that the Jeep Unlimited .The 2110 jeeps will have the new Phoenix 280 hp 3.6 MDS engine and a rumored Diesel. could Jeep build both types of trucks and make money.--It looks like a hold new ball game at Chrysler/Jeep , they are dropping old models and adding new models that customers may buy. they must be googling jeep sites now to see what customers want, and for problems and suggestions.

The gladiator was cool and I know what they were trying to do but I did not like the spare tire location. Otherwise it is a really cool Jeep.

I think they'd sell marginally well, but don't think they'd touch the pickup market. It'd probably mostly poach sales from the JK line.

I always wanted a Scrambler, when Gladiator was mentioned, I was all excited and ready to trade my old F150. I had to wait for the JK Rubicon, but I also have a truck fetish. I'm a sick individual I guess?

The Gladiator would have been nice. Ford out sells everything on the market. I think Jeep could build a truck that many of "us" would like but not the general market. It could be enough market to produce a niche truck but I think it would be marginal at best. Toyota has jumped in the truck market and intends to carve out a big chunk. Notice they built a new truck plant in San Antonio TX. It won't be long they will have a dually.

I doubt the committment of Toyota and Nissan in this market, but we'll see. We make parts for the Nissans trucks, so I'd like to see those take off.

Default LJ

Is the LJ (?) not the same thing as a scrambler? All the scrambler was is a stretched cj-7. The LJ is just a stretched TJ. Major difference is the LJ was not offered with the 1/2 hardtop and came with a back seat. Remove the seat and put the divider and the 1/2 top and you have a modern day scrambler. scrambler was not a good seller and the LJ probably had the same problem. all the scrambler was is a upgraded cj-6 which was a stretched cj5. just my thoughts. I have owned 4 scramblers including a RND. i hope to get one in the future to just kick around town in.
