Default Upgrade opnions...Clayton 3.5", BFG KM2 or Toyo

Step 1:

I believe I've made the decision to go with the Clayton 3.5" lift w/ Bilstein 5100 shocks on my 4dr Unlimited Sahara auto. I've heard nothing but good things about their kit and after much research the only other consideration was Currie's kit. Would any of you elect to go the Currie route instead? If so, what pushed you that way.

I plan to pick up 16" Pro Comp 7089s and run 315/75/16 in either the BFG KM2 or Toyo OC MT. I think the backspacing on the wheel (4.5") should allow me to run w/o spacers.

Step 2 ((or bite bullet and get it done with step 1):

Upgrade to 5.13s gears, superior chromoly - bigger spline where needed, and ARB lockers in the front/reat.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

With my Clayton 3.5 lift it gave me a total lift of 5"+ this is on a 2dr. Sahara as well. I also opted for the Rubicon Express remote Resivoir Shocks and a rea adj. Track bar. It is not a needed item fot the Unlimited but it is nice to have and for a little under 200 why not. as for larger tires I only went up to 33's for right now and I will see if I need to upgrade if I do it will be 35's and axles will be upgraded along with 5.13's Being I won't be homw for a few more months I am not to worried about it right now. It does look cool and can see it in my gallery. you will want the gears when you go 35's. from the general concensus on the forum that is. especially in the auto with 3.73 stockers..

I'm perfectly happy with my 3.5 lift. I didn't get 5+ inches though. I got the advertised lift height. I have no familiarity with the Toyos but you cannot go wrong with the KM2s. You'll definitely want to regear, especially if you're on anything less than 4.10s.

I don't have any personal experience with them but instead of the Bilstein 5100s(which I currently have) I would consider the OME Long Travel shocks instead.

Also, if readily available I'd consider the Toyo OC MTs as they already have siping considering our strange East Coast weather. (I have the BFG MT KMs)

At least thats what I would do this very moment. I did find my flex limited a little with the Bilsteins and get squirrley around turns with the BFGs.
