Default Using a Hi Lift

Just bought a Hi Lift Xtreme today. Not much different from the usual Hi Lift, few extra goodies though. I have used them before but this is the first one I have actually owned.

While looking to see what accessories there were for it, I found that Hi Lift has a YouTube Channel. It gives some very good instructions on how to use a Hi Lift. If you own one and have never used it, or just want some tips on using a one of these types of jacks I would suggest you check out the videos. As useful as the jacks are, they can be EXTREMELY dangerous in the hands of someone who doesn't know what they are doing with it.

There is a saying "Never let go of the handle while lowering the load or you'll EAT TEETH!"

Cheers.

buy a winch

I'm sure that many people don't take to two minutes to apply common sense in theses situations and make sure that they have set up everything correctly

Unless you've got more money and ingenuity than most, a winch wont be able to "winch" you from the front, back or from both sides. Sure, the winch is a special purpose built tool that can't be beat, but the Hi-Lift is a multi tool that is more valuable than just about any other off road tool out there. When I go wheelin, I grab my keys, my Hi-Lift, a strap and chains. Nothing is more versitile!
The X-Jack is also a great Hi-lift because of it's added length and corossion resistant finish. I've had mine for a couple years and LOVE it!!!!

Those videos are what helped me make my decision to buy one. I got the Hi-Lift Jack® Off-Road Accessory Kit and the bumper lift too.
