Default OX Trax Locker in Front D30

I Emailed OX for info on their time line when they'll be available and this is what George of "OX" wrote below and I'm going to purchase this Locker as soon as they become availble.

OX's answer back to me:We have not yet tested the new D30 fronts. Traditionally that axle has been
our most popular. I need to find out what may be different in that
application. I will contact you again when I know more
Thanks for your interest,
George Seiler

IGOFSHN, I agree,...I'v read a bunch of conflicting info on ya or na, but it seems like they already put a Manual -Locker in the D30 in this article below. There was a few little things they had to do but it was installed.

I think I read where you had no trouble at all running a Auto Detroit Locker in the Front for about 5 years, everyone one else thinks it's instant death running a locker or LSD up front.. The price difference is considerable.....anymore comments on the Auto Locker in front would be appreciated.

lockers for our jk's. I made a inquiry with a cat from randys ring and pinion last week in regards to drivetrain options for those of us with the reg dana 44 an30. firts they have said them had some failures with superior brand gears already and further testing is being done as is the wait for the tried and true yukon brand of gears. also i was told that the carriers more or less have remained the same, it was the bearing size and overall gear size that change so i was told i theory all present lockers availible would work but at the same time there hasnt been enough "thourough testing" to validate it as true for the 07's

The carriers/lockers are the same only difference is that the new Dana 44 under the JK uses a "thick" ring gear (like the TJ Rubicon housings) and as such uses the high speed carrier instead of the low speed. So a 3.73 ratio and down locker for a regular dana 44 will work with all JK gears. The dana 30 carrier/locker is the same as the old 30.

Not 100%, but I think that is reversed for the 44. As the gear ration gets lower (numerically higher), the ring gear gets thicker due to the smaller pinion. From what I understand, all JK gears are "thick cut." This would mean that a carrier for the lower gears (numerically higher) would work. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?
