Default JK Bumper Question

I would like help on choosing a bumper for my JK Unlimited. My bumper options are AEV and the Fab Fours, both with Winch Mount.

The crush cans are not a issue. Just wanted to know pro and cons if any.

Thanks for your help.

I like the Fab Four Just for looks but I have yet to pick up my JK Sigh 10 more months. LMK what you go with. I just think the Fat Bar look is Sheize. That bottom one is SEXY!! How much does it weigh??

I have seen both in person and can tell you that the FabFour is gigantically HUGE and weighs a ton by comparison to the AEV bumper. If you're insistant on running a full width bumper and plan on wheeling your JK, I would have to go with the AEV as it's stamped steel construction makes it lighter without sacrificing strenght and it's overall design allows for greater approach angles over the FabFour.

WOL, I'm also considering the AEV, but I'm a little hesitant because of the shackle mounts. In all the pictures I've seen, they appear recessed quite a bit, and it's hard to tell how (and to what) those mounts are connected. Any idea? I actually like the crush cans (for city use), but don't want to sacrifice functionality for them.

Thanks,
js.

The very front of the mounts sits pretty flush with the face of the bumper minus the crush can bumper pads and attach to the frame from behind the stamped steel housing.

Hope this helps you out.
