Default Bulletproof Steering

What up peeps?

I was getting rather tired of the "shimmy shimmy Cocoa Puffs" that my front end was giving (due to my bent tie rod) me every time I hit a bump in the street. So, I decided to shore things up and make the front end as bulletproof as I could make it.

I threw on the Teraflex HD reverse draglink, the Teraflex front trackbar bracket, a new JKS adjustable front trackbar, some 1-ton tie rod ends, and lastly, the Pièce de résistance, the Rock Krawler HD tie rod. This thing is a straight BEAST! You could ultimate giga knock someone out with this joint. Okay, the pictures follow. Enjoy!

This HD tie rod, much like the Last Son of Krypton, is bulletproof.

Shot from the passenger side front of all my new steering goodies.

Up close and personal with the Teraflex Front Trackbar bracket. This piece is a direct bolt on unit, but I'm thinking I might shore it up with a couple of welded beads in the future (just to be on the safe side).

Another shot of the ultimately ruthless Rock Krawler HD tie rod (this bad daddy is 1.625" in diameter...and made of solid steel).

Yeah, the tie rod BY ITSELF weighs 35 lbs.

Russ -

Quick question about the Teraflex Trackbar bracket....is this available separately or is it part of a kit you have to buy. Did you have to drill in the frame? If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost.

Much mahalo

Looks great so far. One place you missed on the the stock front track bar mounting bracket on the axle, you might want to rebuild it thicker or gusset it.

I'm also interested in this. I have the JKS adjustable track bar, so my axle is centered. Does the bracket improve the geometry of the track bar, and with what being the benefit? Nice installs.
