question on esp and bas lights
i put my tires on yesterday and i was driving on the interstate and the esp and bas lights came on is this because of my tires or what and what will make them go off
thats your problem, the esp/bas works by measure each wheels speed individually as well as the angle of the steering wheel and g forces on the jeep... being that your steering wheel isn't centered, and you need an alignment, its just telling you that something is wrong... and whats wrong is you need an alignment. theres a great write up on here from wayolife, if you're any good at all with tools and likely even if your not, you can do your own alignment and re-center the wheel and get that esp/bas light to go right back off again. good luck

there is a purple wire with light blue stripe under the kick panel...cut it...and throw a toggle in between

it disables:
ESP (Electronic Stability Program)
BAS (Brake Assist System)
ABS (Anti-lock Brake System)
when the switch is off all these lights will be on in the instrument panel
this is just where I mounted my switch
