Default Warn stock bumper winch mounting plate

Hey guys,

I'm looking into buying a winch but I'm not too fond of replacing the whole bumper for one that would accomodate a winch (too costly). While browsing the Warn website, I noticed that you could purchase a winch mounting plate that would bolt on directly to your factory bumper. Do you think this would void the warranty or not?

Part # is : 74247

Thanks

If an accessory replaces an OEM item, that item's warranty is voided. Not the entire vehicle's warranty, just THAT item. If a modification, accessory or alteration causes and OEM part to fail, that item's warranty is voided.
Say you put the mount on, and the bumper fails somehow. They would say that the winch mount caused undue stress, and not cover it under warranty. But if you put the mount on, and your door falls off because of poor workmanship, then that is covered by warranty.
