Default Will I need wheel spacers?

just purchased a set of 37x13.5x17 tires on procomp 7089's 17x9 with a 4.75 backspace...

Am I going to need wheel spacers to avoid rubbing at full turn and/or flex?

Thanks in advance!

unfortunately, you will have rubbing at a full turn but you can help prevent some of it by adding a few washers to your steer stops. here is a write-up on this:

otherwise, you will want wheel spacers to fix your rubbing. one thing that you should know is that if you do install wheel spacers, you will most likely get rubbing of your fenders at a full flex if you don't have enough lift.

thanks for the input.

would 4.5 inch bs with a 17x8 wheel and a 13.5 wide tire be a better option? i opted not to get this wheel bc my tire mfg specs this tire for an 8.5 inch to 10 inch wheel. seems like i cant win!! ughh.

maybe i can modify the order i just placed....

anyway, thanks for the support!!

I've got 16x8's with 5" backspacing. I had to install a set of 1.5" wheel spacers. I restricted the turning... but that was clearing my lower control arms but was still rubbing on the sway bars when flexing. I'm going to order new wheels. BTW... you can order wheels with any backspacing you want. It just costs a few extra bucks... much cheaper than buying wheels and spacers... and much safer too. If you order didn't ship yet... you should be able to change it. if it did.. you can still change it... you'll just pay for return shipping.. still cheaper than wheel spacers.

yes.
the extra 1/4" bs will help and the 8" rim will make your 13.5" tire narrower.

BUT a 10" would be ideal for the tire size you want to run. 17x9 4.5" bs should work just fine.

Thanks again!!!!!!!
