Default Cage Offroad... 2" lift kit

Any opinions on this product?

I called National 4WD to ask about lifts < 2"... in particular, I was asking about the Daystar 1.75" lift. They didn't know about that one, but suggested the CAGE Offroad 2" lift.

But as for cost, well... the lift itself is (I don't recall exactly) just under $300 (Cdn.). Installation: est. 6 hrs labour at $80/hr = $480 plus 6% tax! So, out the door price about $800 for a 2" lift and installation... seems rather steep, no?

Save your $480 and do the install youself. It should require only basic hand tools, a jack, and jack stands. I have just recently installed my first two lifts ever, and can tell you that i'll never pay someone to do it again. Its just too easy, especially when you can get quality write-ups off of project-jk.com

Exactly. It also allows you to get more familiar with your vehicle, which could prove ideal on the trail in case of problems and/or trail fixes. Go for it!
