Why not just the port where the stock sender gets it's input from? I don't know where it is, but it shouldn't be hard to find. All you'd need is a brass "T" fitting and whatever hardware comes with your new gauge.

I'd be interested in this as well. I've already lost one of my vehicles due to a bad oil pressure.

Oil Pressure switch is just aft of where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine.

does anyone know the size of the hole the stock oil pressure sensor is? I'm going to go grab a T for my new one and want to make sure it will fit.

don't know the size but its gotta come off anyway, take it off, take down to a good hydraulic shop and ask someone who knows what they're talking about to size one up for you.

Oh yah, keep us posted I've always thought of this too as the low oil pressure light doesn't come until pressure goes bellow 4psi, to me its to late by then. Why not 10-20psi warning.

That's what I did with a similar situation on the tranny temp gauge...also, once plumbed I found out that you have to ground the sensor (thanks Autometer TS for your help) and using a hose clamp with 18 guage wire grounded in the engine bay worked out just fine.

got it fitted today lads. pics in aweek or so im going on holiday,

The thread is a 3/8npt on the pressure switch, u require a 1-1/16 SINGLE HEX DEEP SOCKET to remove the original pressure switch. in stall a MFF T peice 3/8npt also. the point the rotating F end between the radiator hose and engine mount, in the same port screw a 3/8npt extension then into that a 3/8-1/8 reducer and install your new pressure switch sender. in the old port fit the original pressure switch. as i said i got photos just going away tomorrow and wont have a computer. works the charm tho.

USE HIGH PRESSURE THREAD SEALANT ON ALL THREADS OR U WILL HAVE LEAKS !

enjoy.
