Question 15" rims on jK and 3.21 gear woes

hey guys i'm just a bit confused  on what wheels to slap on some 35" meat to...the jk comes smallest in 16" rims. but i have read that u can fit 15" rims without any problems. has this been absolutly proven? if so i would opt for the 15s simply for the cost savings on 35-12.5-15 and soft 8 steel 15" rim vs the same in the 16" variarity. the rims jump up like $30 each for the 16s and the tires jump up a good $40 or so each . going with pro comp xterrians as they seem to be the best combo of aggreasive thread and sidewall at i nice price. i already ordered a 3" full traction lift and am just waiting for its arrival ( told it would ship this week) to get the rubber. also i realized late in the game in my eagerness to get my black manual 2dr that it has 3.21 gears and from what i have read on the forums even the 4.10 are not ideal for larger wheels, am i going to have a serious problem with the 35"s or will i be able to bearly get by till gears become avaible? (no rock climbing here in Miami, but i would like to get muddy).

any help would be appreciated, someone please absolutly confirm the 15s will fit before i order a set of rims and tires

thanks in advance, btw this forum has been by far the best info on jk i have found you guys are great!

i think you would run into drivability issues with the gearing you have, i want to go with the 3 in lift and 35's as well. i have the 4.10 gears and alot of hills where i live and when i put the lift and tires on i think i will be considering new gears. i think you will loose a lot of power with the gearing and lift/tire combination you are considering.

wow i would have expected at least one answer to the 15 inch rims fitting the jk?

please if anyone knows if the 15s fit give me a reply i need to order the tires by nov 20. ( best sale i have seen for pro comp tires end then) and i need to know if i can get 35-12.50-15s or have to pay almost $200 more for the 315/75-16s and a bit more for the rims

thanks in advance

Default On the Gears

I understand the ratio of the gears with larger tires vs: smaller tires. Other than the RPM change and keeping the torque and mileage in a range you want it. Is there other concerns related to having 35's instead of 32's?

Anyone?

I also would like to know if the 15" wheels fit. The rubber price from 15-18" for the same tire is Xtreme.

Default thanks a bunch

great, so i can go ahead with the 15s, i started looking through all the previous threads here and also saw that the full traction jeep has a set of 15s on so i feel confident now thanks alot.

yeah i realize the 35"s are a bit tall for the 3.21 gears, damn my impatience! well i will be eagerly waiting on the release of 4.88 or so gears. anyone have any idea or word when gears will become avalible? and how much for the change. i see current gears in the $145 range how much does install run typically?
