Well...

A: How much money do you want to spend?
B: Will it be for street (all horse power), or the trail (all low to mid range torque).
C: How long do you want it to last?

There are plenty of 3.8L V6's out there with a lot more power than what the chryco engine has. The Nissan VQ38 makes just over 300hp in NA form, and nearly 500 in twin turbo form. And those are production numbers, so longevity is fine.

With a proper forced induction setup, cam, head work, get forged internals, exhaust, and fuel delivery, there is no reason you could not have 450-500 reliable horse power. (IE: It will still last 150k miles, if you just want peak, you could make it have 1000, for about 500 miles)

Now if it was me, I would shoot for the 300 range for horse power, and just try and get the mid range torque up. And that isnt hard to do, it just cost money. Although it would still be quite a bit cheaper than a HEMI swap.

Check out Ripp Mods for their dyno numbers with their supercharger. There is a Hesco and Avenger Supercharger you can also check out. Other than that, there are no other options yet. You would have to do some R & D personally if you want a stroker kit, no one makes one. Good Luck finding what you want, this has been gone over a bunch of times.

You could probably bore it out a bit for some oversize pistons plus shave the heads to bump up the compression...

I would be concerned with how the computers would handle ANYTHING. I don't know of a lot of people that can re-map the computer. If you make a stroker kit, and could make the computer accept it, you would make a lot of dough!

B&G Chrysler does tunes on the CANBUS ECU's. They have a bunch of different setups. I know of one guy that had one on his WK and he took it to the trackand it shaved .5 seconds off his 1/4.

Thats just the usual route to bump us performance, I don't know how it would work with the JK. With modern engine management systems at some point you'll need bigger injectors I do know that.
