Default Rim Size Question (Procomp 8179)

Im going to be running 315/75R16 mud grapplers but there are two different Procomp 8179 sizes 16x8 and 16x10. Which one would be better to get?

16x10 will make your tire stick out alittle more and give you a wider look, 16x8 will give you better rim protection and hold the bead of the tire better when you air down. It's all in what you want. Looks or protection

Good luck finding the 16x8. I wanted to run the 7089, but could not find them anywhere. I switched to 7189 and had to buy 4 from Quadratec and one from 4wd .com. I think 4wd may have two more in their FL warehouse. Both vendors could not tell me when more would be in stock and also stated the 17 rims are much more popular and have higher production numbers...which leads to better availability. Had my tires not already been shipped, I would have switched to the 17 inch rim.

I just got off the phone with 4wd.com they have 16x8 in stock (I asked the guy 3 times if they def were in stock) so I ordered 5 with the rock rings... Hopefully Discount Tire will run their 10% off deal soon and I can get my Mug Grapplers next.

Sweet. My bodyshop guy was doing this back on Monday of last week. Maybe they got in a new shipment.

Be sure to post pics. I should have mine installed tomorrow or Thursday.
