Question Those w/35's???

For those running w/35's or know someone that is... plus they are using the stock bumper location (tailgate) for carrying their spare, can you tell me if you need to purchase the 3rd Brake Light Extention or will the factory one still be visible? -Thanks-

The factory light is pretty much resting directly on top of my 35" Toyo M/T spare. I'm not convinced mine is 100% legal (I don't think you could see it if you were in a small car following closely):

mmccurdy, is that spare tire mounted on everything stock, or did you have to get some kind of extension or brace to hold the larger tire?

I didn't need a brake light extension or any type of brace, but I did need a wheel spacer (315/70/17). I can see the brake light easily and I’ve had no problems with the spare.

Everything is stock on the mounting side (obviously the tire and wheel are aftermarket). Those are Cragar Soft 8 15's with 4" backspacing. The tire just touches the bumper on the bottom, and would probably fit fine with up to 1.5" or so more backspacing (pulling it closer to the tailgate).

It does just peek up above the tire, I haven't tried looking at it from the view of a small car though.
