How far will this size wheel make a 12.5 tire stick out from the stock flares? I can't find any pics of these looking straight down from the flare. I live in PA and the tread can't go too far past the flares. Even pics of 4.75 bs would help.

This is 4.5 backspace with a 11.5 width tire. So, about 1 inch more than this

Wouldn't it be about a half inch?

Just get them and if the cops ever give you a hard time then you have an excuse to get wider fender flares!

I could do that, but pocket flares are way more expensive than they were when I bought them for the TJ.
Thanks for the pics, I can use them to show someone with an inspection license and see if they will pass. I really want this setup to work because of the wheels I found (Ballistic Jester). Also keep the pics coming if there is any more. Thanks.

I talked to a couple of inspection garages and they all said to keep the tread under the flare for PA inspection. So I'll have to check out 17x8's with 4.5 backspacing. If anyone has pics of these from the top of the flare, please show them.

I got 4.5 BS 17x8 with 33x12.5 Cooper STT and they stick out about 1/2 inch outside the stock fenders. I am guessing a 17x9 with 4.5" BS and 12.5" wide tire will be around 3/4" outside the stock fenders.

Best I can do for pictures of what the tire will look like sticking outside the stock fenders.
