Default 15" rims on a 4dr unlimited?

Hey all

Hubby and I have ordered my lift. We're wondering if anyone knows wether or not you can run 15" rims instead of the 17" that came with the jeep?? Only reason being, that up here in Canada, if I stick with the 17", due to the bolt pattern getting changed on the new jeeps it's gonna cost $2000 for rims and tires. If I go down to 15" rims then I'm looking at a savings of over $800! Anyone done this yet or know if this would work??? Sucks that the bolt pattern is defferent otherwise I'd just my hubby's rims as he's looking to make his jeep bigger. lemme know! thanks!

I have Cragar Soft 8s' 15x10 on my 07unlimited. Some 15" rims will fit others will not. Price difference and more tire choices made me want to go with a 15" rim. But be careful about what 15"rim you choose. Will want to check and make sure it clears everything before buying.

What back space are you running on your 15" rims. The Cragars were the only wheels that I was told would fit for sure, but they were not sure what back spacing was needed.

I decided to go with the 15" rims for the same reasons as Grimm, the prices up here are ridiculus.

4" backspace,

The backspacing will not help a 15" rim fit. The problem with 15" rims has to do with clearing the brake caliper. Some 15" rims will clear, others will not. I have seen pics of other 15" rims then Cragar on JKs. I got mine from Summit, around $50 a rim.

I went with the polished aluminium MB72's in a 15" with no rubbing on caliper or anything.
Discount Tire Direct on here is great to work with!!

Trimmed fenders.
It only cost around $350 for each tire and wheel shipped mounted and balanced. That's the same price as a 17" tire without the wheel.
