Default Shrockrails install questions?

For those of you that have installed the Schrockworks rock rails I have a few questions

The middle leg on the rails is more than a 1/4 inch from the frame, does it just get pulled in when you install the bolt.

The driver side rear leg is a 1/2" from the bottom of the frame, does this get pulled up?

One other question, when I have the bolts on the bottom,it is not level across, it seems to be close by the front wheel and farther away at the rear of the rail and I have the bottom bolts tight, am I going to have to shim it some way? I want to make sure I have it right before I start drilling.

thanks

Hey dsp, On the driver side, I unbolted the cross member from the frame rail and sandwiched my center slider mount inbetween the two. This allowed the rails to sit level and brought everything closer together including the gap you have. Whatever is remaining will get pulled in with the bolts. I'll try to post my write-up on it tomorrow if you still need it.

Here's a pic to show you what I did...

I installed them on my Unlimited and didn't have any problems like you are talking about. Everything lined up and then snugged up. Both sides match from front to rear. I bolted everything up tight and then made my marks before drilling. Used a center punch to make sure the bit didn't walk. It was a little more work but they went on nice.

I added a couple of washers under 1 leg of rail to keep level.

Hey guys thanks for the tips. Wayoflife, I will try and do that on the drivers side and that might just do the trick. I was also thinking of having the rails go between the gas tank skid and the frame on the passenger side to make it work. Unfortunately I ran out of light.

Well, I just mounted my passenger side as is with the rails going over the gas tank skid and everything worked out perfectly. I only had issues with the driver side. Needless to say, you'll probably be fine too

If you can post the write up I would appreciate it , I was looking all over the forum for it. I think in March you said you were going to post it tommorow.....
You must be pretty busy.

Also do you think I can just put it between the frame and gas tank skid? I left a message at Shrockworks asking the same thing.

Other than this they look very good, the wife is very happy

I apologize for not publishing this earlier today but here's a link to the write-up if you're still needing it:

Not sure if the problem I had is the same as what you have because I have a two door and it only has two legs on the slider. The back drivers side frame had "tab" on it that held the slider away from the main part of the frame so I just put a couple of washers behind the rail.
