Default Help me decide on wheels, can't decide after a few months of planning

So I've been collecting parts over the last few months and have decided to run 35 x 12.5 on my Bright Silver 2 door X with a 4" lift.

I really cannot decide between the Pro Comp Series 97 (Soft 8s) or the Pro Comp Series 8128 either in 16 x 8 or 17 x 9/8.5... how much of a difference will the size make? Which will be better off road and which will be better on road?

Keep in mind that there is about a $200-$300 dollar difference between the 97s (less expensive) and the 8128s (more expensive).

What are all your thoughts?

The 8128s:

The 97s:

Thanks for the help...

8128's in my opinion look better. One other note is that you better be prepared to wait forever and a day to get your 8128's in 17x8.5 for the JK if those are the ones you choose. I have been waiting since late November for mine because they are on a backorder from Procomp and have called every retailer that sells them and they have no idea of when they can get them or when Procomp is shipping any of those wheels.

The 8128's would look great. But with salty winter roads there is a lot of places to collect corrosion. They would set off the silver really nice.

It's only money, get what you really want or you wont be happy.

However, 15x8s are even better:

Both the wheels are tires are much less expensive, and you can get a load range C tire (6 ply) for a softer ride.
The Cragars , or I guess the Series 97, are really growing on me...

I was thinking 15s, too, but what are the issues with rubbing? I heard 15s are hit or miss. Thats the only reason I didn't include them, did you have to do anything to fit them?

So the 8128s are on backorder...for those of you waiting have they told you when to expect them by? Any ideas?

Piginajeep - Wanna sell me your wheels? LOL, its worth a shot. How did you get these wheels when everyone else can't?

And not to kiss ass, but I love the look of your jeep, it's easily my favorite on this site.
