Default New bumper = New Hardware?

I'm going to be installing a new front bumper shortly (custom work from a local fab shop)

Is it worth picking up a new set of grade 8 hardware for the points where it bolts to the frame? Does DC use grade 8 (or at least grade 5) hardare in that application, or do they just use whatever's cheapest?

I need to hit up the local industrial supply house for a set of grade 8 bolts for my winch anyways, so I certainly don't have a problem with picking up a few more bolts...but I don't want to go and replace solid hardware without a good reason.

It's not like I'm installing a 15,000 pound winch or planning on trying to pull one ton trucks out of swamps...I jsut don't want to take any shortcuts with the hardare that's keeping my bumper (and it's VERY stout recovery points) attached to my frame.

Point well taken.

Okay, I need 8 1/2 inch Grade 8 bolts. Button head, I would imagine? Does anyone happen to know length?

That depends on how think your bumper is and it's mounting locations.
