Default Rear Bumper: Mopar vs. Rugged Ridge

I'm trying to decide between the Mopar or RR rear bumper (without the tire swing).

What are your thoughts, experiences, or recommendations that can help me make a final decision.

FWIW, I have a Mopar off-road bumper up front and love it, but the RR seems close enough in appearance to match and it's less expensive.

Thanks,
John

I really like the look. Install was pretty straight forward.

I have the RR sitting in my living room (still in the massive box). I am waiting for the tire carrier that will be drop shipped from the manufacturer some time in mid April. It is one solid piece! I don't think I will be disappointed.

The MOPAR is great if you want to keep your stock flares on but become a problem if you don't since they extend all the way to the outside of the stock flare. Other brands like Xenon come in sizes 1/5" thinner than the stock flare. I'm sure other flat top style flares do the same.

I say go with the Smitybilt XRC rear bumper. You can always add the tire carrier on later and this one only goes to the outside of the body tub rather than to the flare. It especially looks nice if you go with a mid-width bumper up front. Plus it has provisions for two shackles and comes with a hitch.

Thanks for all the responses!

There's a lot of good suggestions here.

Before I pull the trigger, I'll see what the dealer says is their best price on the Mopar since I wouldn't have to pay for shipping.

That Smittybuilt bumper looks pretty sweet too! Add that one to my list...
