Default Cutting tube bumper

First off let me start by acknowledging that many people are not tube bumper fans. I have always liked them, chrome one's not so much though.
Anyway, I like my tube bumpers but the front one is a little too wide like the stock bumpers. Has anyone ever cut their tube bumpers? Anyone have pictures of cut tube bumpers. I am going to cut mine and make it sort of like a stubby tube bumper. I have found plastic inserts that will cap off the ends and I am going to weld on some D-rings.
Here is what it looks like now. I will post pics after the cut also. If anyone is good at photoshop and feels like showing me what it is going to look like cut that would be awesome.

cut would look better. Welding D rings is pointless because those things aren't strong enough to hold revovery points. Youd be better welding a recovery point to the frame if your really want to keep tubes

I should have been more clear, the D-ring mounts are going to be welded to the frame where the OEM bumper bolted up. They will extend out between the two horizontal tubes of the tube bumper.

Who gives a rat's a$$ who else likes it?!?! It's your Jeep man!!

I think it will look cool with the "stubby" look.

I know it is off topic, but I've got to ask: What is that hanging in front of your windshield?

Thats the rope to my garage door. Ha Ha. Unless of course you are referring to the awesome red fur dice hanging from the mirror. First day I bought my new JK my family went to a local pizza joint that has all kinds of games and things for the kiddos. My youngest son got a bunch of those stubs that you can claim for a prize and he got those dice. He said " Dad I got these to match your Jeep". I put em in immediately.

I was wondering what the rope was also, Cutting the bumper would look better IMO. Cut it and post up some pics.
