Default JE Reel OE 1310 probs

I have a frt 1310 OE replacement DS. The ears on the double cardin shaft end are chewing into the other side of the shaft. Anyone else have this happen? I got the one for a 4in lift but it had 3 1/2 to 4in of spline showing after install. The bottom part of the shaft where the splines go in is only 6in.Does je reel make a shaft for stock height and I got one of those , or for a bb?

Yeah, it sucks, I'll know for sure tomorrow or suday when I pull it whether this is the cause of my elusive gear noise. Double dammit cause I just got a frt locker.

If your referring to the OE - meaning uses stock flanges, I am in the same boat. I don't have any actual rubbing, but do have a slight harmonic vibration between 50-60 mph. I only have the 3 inch teraflex, but on the 2 door it ends up being much more. When I bought the shaft from Northridge, I was asked what kit I had on the Jeep and was told this one would be ok.

Got mine from there also. I was kinda worried when I put it own the amount of spline showing as compared to what was left in the shaft sleeve. Right after install about 3-3 1/2 inches of spline was showing. David said this was ok. There is about 4in of spline showing now which means there is only 2 in the shaft sleeve Plus it seems the top is at too much of an angle for the joint to rotate properly without hitting. I think I got too short of a shaft sent to me. OE, yeah the stock flange one. Tryed there website(je reel) to look for specs maybe and nothing on there about jk shafts
