Question Regarding Tires on Stock '08 X

Hey guys, just purchased an '08 X model. Noticed that the treading on the tires are actually quite bad and will most likely need a new pair before 2010. I am curious what my options are with no lift or other mods. How big can I go without sacrificing my ride? Would any of you make any suggestions or reccomendations for tires on a JK with no lift or other mods? While I would like tires that function well off-road the over whelming majority of my driving is done on road. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!!

look for a set of rubicon pull offs. they can be had for around $500 and have 32" bfg m/t tires and nice 17" alloy weels. great on and off the pavement.

Get 32s, they shouldn't rub much, if at all.. As for tires, look at TOYO Open Country M/Ts, they have good off road performance coupled with nice on road manners. If you're not feelin that then yes, the BFGs will work just fine
