Another Throw Out Bearing Noise
This past Sunday, I got into some mud that was just a bit too deep and I actually thought I was stuck for a few minutes. I ended up having to rock the Jeep back and forth in 4LO to get myself out...2nd gear to reverse, 2nd gear to reverse, etc. The mud was only about a foot deep, so I don't think anything was sucked up into the transmission.
Anyhow, now my throw out bearing is making some noise....like a ringing or jingling noise, only until I depress the clutch pedal. It still does it while driving in gear, and goes away when you barely touch the pedal.
Why would it start doing this after just going from forward to reverse like that? Is it something to be worried about?
BTW, I've already had both TSB's done for the clutch disc and the throw out bearing...so unless I can persuade the dealer to do it again, that's probably not an option.

I have a 07 noticed the noise after a year . had it fixed under warranty last year with lift on. brougt it in about 4 months earlier to fix some warranty issues when the jeep wasnt lifted and the service rep said it wasnt covered. depends which service guy you get.:
